General Informatics will sponsor programs and events with Companion Animal Alliance (CAA) while also serving as their dedicated IT provider, offering advanced technology support to enhance daily operations and empower CAA to better serve Baton Rouge. This partnership reinforces General Informatics’ ongoing commitment to improving local communities through innovation and service.

Companion Animal Alliance plays a critical role in improving the lives of animals across the parish through adoption programs, spay and neuter initiatives, and community education. While the organization is focused on animal intake and adoption, the overall mission is to reduce the number of animals who go into shelters by providing resources to pet owners and increasing spay and neuter efforts in the parish.

Founded in 2010, Companion Animal Alliance is a nonprofit animal welfare organization based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. CAA operates as the only open-intake animal shelter in East Baton Rouge Parish, caring for more than 9,000 animals each year including cats, dogs, wildlife, livestock, and other exotic house pets. Their mission is to reduce the number of animals entering shelters by providing resources to owners, increasing spay/neuter efforts, treating animals humanely, finding forever homes, and returning lost pets to their owners.
