Sugar Mill Primary School
General Informatics was the chosen structured cabling integrator for the new Sugar Mill Primary campus in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. GI’s Core Infrastructure Team installed over 26 miles of Cat6 and Cat6A copper cable for a total of 695 workstations and over 2300’ of 12-strand single-mode fiber optic cable for the backbone infrastructure. In addition to the structured cabling system, the project also provided the AV integration in a media center and 47 classrooms.
Port Allen Middle School
As a part of Port Allen Middle School's 1937 art deco style buildings complete restoration, General Informatics was chosen as the Structured Cabling contractor for the infrastructure needs of the project. General Informatics installed over 13 miles of Cat6A cable and 3000 feet of OM3 fiber optic cable. GI completed the project in time for students to start the new school year.
AON Cancer Center
For the new AON Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Baton Rouge General, GI's Telecom team installed over 72,000 ft of high speed network cable that will keep physicians connected to the technology they rely on to provide the best in patient care.
Baton Rouge Area Chamber
Smart Office Transformation
GI helped transform the 50 year old office into a high-tech, modern building complete with smart meeting spaces, access control and a showstopping dynamic video wall.

Ascension Neighborhood Hospital
General Informatics implemented the Structured Cabling System and CATV Systems for Baton Rouge General Hospital's 42,500-square-foot Ascension Neighborhood Hospital. The project consisted of installation, termination, testing and labeling 142,000 ft of Cat 6 and fiber optic cable.
Alex Box Batting Cages
The GI team helped make Alex Box Stadium a smarter stadium with 16,000 ft of cat 6 cable as part of the Network Cabling infrastructure upgrade. LSU Fans, bring on those smartphones!
Port Allen High School
General Informatics was chosen by Port Allen High School to complete the Structured Cabling System that includes: 451 Cat6A network drops; 200,000 ft of cable; four Fiber Backbone cables; and build-out of racks and hardware in four IDF locations for the School's brand new theater, gym, and band room.
Meridian Link
The GI Telecom team implemented a smart office solution complete with:
  • Access Control & Security Cameras
  • Integrated Atlona Velocity AV solution to easily manage conference rooms and broadcast meetings
  • Cambridge Sound Masking system to minimize background noise & distractions
